Antonio Tarver is one of the nicest men on the planet! I met him when he was looking for a new home in Avila. He had just stomped a mudhole in Roy Jones Jr.'s bottom side! We took this picture at Avila. He was actually on the phone with Sly Stallone when we were taking this picture! Tarver starred as Mason "The Line" Dixon, the heavyweight division champion in the film Rocky Balboa motion picture and SHOULD have at least been nominated for an Oscar Award! He eventually settled on a home in my neighborhood in North Tampa. Mr. Tarver will go out of his way to greet you if he sees you in Tampa (and he knows you). Great guy, not one of those stuck up stars! He is the Tiger Woods of boxing and many consider him to be the best fighter in the world, pound for pound!
He is nicknamed the "Magic Man," and originally from Orlando, Florida. He is the former Ring light heavyweight champion and current IBF and IBO light heavyweight champion. He stands at 6' 2" and was the first man ever to beat, AND knock out Roy Jones Jr. He won a bronze medal while representing the United States at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He captured the world title at the 1995 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Berlin, just two months after having triumphed at the Pan American Games. On a side note, he played in the Main Event at the 2007 World Series of Poker.
